What interests you about the concept of freedom? No matter what our money goals, those of us fortunate enough to earn more than is required to satisfy our basic needs are generally aiming for some kind of freedom. Freedom from working as much, or at all, the freedom of your next holiday, of finishing your study, of whatever.
For me, it was the millions of little things.
Most of which relate to having control over my own time again.
Not having to set the alarm to get up in the morning.
Sleeping when I feel tired, not at an hour calculated to give me the minimum amount of rest required before getting up at a predetermined hour.
Not staying up beyond when I feel exhausted simply because I feel obliged to maximise my ‘leisure’ time outside of work.
Reading or writing or swimming or going for a walk when I want to and not feeling guilty about not being more ‘productive’.
Before I resigned from my job after spending 12 years working at the same place (my entire working life), I spent a great deal of time daydreaming about what I would do with my freedom. Much of these daydreams were fuelled by the likes of Jacob Lund Fisker of earlyretirementextreme.com, who has a number of very interesting blog posts and podcasts on his own transition to early retirement, as well as guest posts from readers who retired at 36 and 45. They describe what they have been doing with their time since retiring. Learning a language, dancing, volunteering… my question for today is
What will you do with your freedom?
Today’s featured image is a beach in Fiji, where I am beginning my free life.
I’ve been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I
never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty
worth enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content
as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
Thank you Jane, very kind of you to say!?
Saved as a favorite, I love your website!
Thanks Kristen ☺ for your comment and for stopping by!
You can definitely see your skills within the article you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers such as you who are not afraid
to say how they believe. At all times follow your heart.
Thank you Grady!?✨
This is a really good tip especially to those fresh to the blogosphere.

A must read article!
